The first part of the workshop “Mediation as an approach to deal with conflicts in national and transnational families: between judicial practices and Italian and European experiences” was concluded yesterday at Palazzo Isimbardi of the Municipality of Milan, in Via Vivaio n. 1, promoted by the Metropolitan City of Milan, the Milan Juvenile Chamber and ICALI – International Child Abduction Lawyers Italy.

Atty Benedetta Guidicini, member of the Board of Directors of the Milan Juvenile Chamber and of the Commission for Family and Juvenile Law of the Milan Bar Association, introduced and coordinated the analysis on the subject: the role of the lawyers of the parties and their relationship with the Services.

The two-day-workshop focuses on the theme of separation and interruption of cohabitation, with specific attention to the position of children in transactional families, in relation to judicial practices and Italian and European experiences. The aim is also to provide some useful food for thought on the practices and experiences of family mediation, assisted negotiation, collaborative practice and parental coordination in the management of family conflicts, in the light of regulatory developments and the socio-cultural and international context.
